Ghanaian dance duo Afronita and Abigail have achieved an impressive feat by securing third place in the highly competitive finale of the 2024 Britain’s Got Talent show. Throughout the competition, their exceptional dance moves and captivating story have captivated audiences worldwide, proudly representing Ghana and Africa on the global stage.

On Sunday, June 2, Afronita and Abigail delivered an electrifying performance adorned in vibrant Ghanaian colors, earning them a spot among the top three out of the ten finalists. The finalists included a diverse range of talents, such as a choir, a magician, and a Japanese skipping group.

Ultimately, the top prize was awarded to singer Sydnie Christmas, with Jack Rhodes securing second place, and Afronita and Abigail claiming a well-deserved third place. The esteemed panel of judges, including Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli, Alesha Dixon, and Amanda Holden, returned for the final episode, alongside hosts Ant and Dec.

The winner of the 17th series of Britain’s Got Talent receives a cash prize of £250,000 and the opportunity to perform at the prestigious Royal Variety Performance.

Throughout the competition, public votes played a crucial role, with viewers at home encouraged to participate and have their say. The announcement of Sydnie Christmas as the winner brought her to tears, expressing her gratitude for the overwhelming love and support she received.
