Regent Ghana University aspiring Clerk to Parliament Prince K. Amissah, has made his intentions and motives known to the public through a powerful manifesto

In his manifesto, Prince K. Amissah promises to work in the interest of students in ensuring that the premiere Bar does not fall below the standards already set. He also assured students of the introduction of a digitized secretariat and plans to make the activities of the school public through social media.

“I believe that the key to achieving this is to deploy the power of social media to put the activities of the school in the public space for our members and the general public ”

Prince K. Amissah continued to be accountable, and leave a corrupt-free legacy as SRC secretariat.
” I would make sure the executive committee is given all the necessary support and freedom to work without fear or favour. This will ensure that executives and governing bodies are held accountable to students’ money”

MANIFESTO OF AMISSAH PRINCE

The chairperson, fellow citizens, and well-wishers, I greet you all. John Quincy Adams once said, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader”.
Inspired by these words stated above, I, AMISSAH PRINCE would humbly like to publicly and formally manifest my interest in aspiring for the position of the CLERK to the Regents-Ghana Students’ Parliament.

MISSION AND VISION STATEMENT
The Chairperson, fellow citizens, my chief goal is to promote the welfare of the Executive Committee, citizens and generally control the management of the Service in matters of policy.
High on my list is to give wide publicity to the School’s activities and to present a positive image of the school to its members and non-members alike.
I believe that the key to achieving this is to deploy the power of social media to put the activities of the school in the public space for our members and the general public

What I intend to do when elected the Clerk to Parliament can be classified under SIX thematic areas:

  • PROMOTE ACCOUNTABILITY.
  • BEING A CLERK THAT IS ACCESSIBLE, OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS AND CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISMS.
  • TO BRING INNOVATION ONBOARD IN LOOKING FOR PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS
  • A DIGITIZED SECRETARIAT
  • A CLERK WHERE STUDENTS CONCERNS MATTER
  • A SECRETARIAT WHERE PARLIAMENTARY DOCUMENTS ARE FILED AND STORED FOR THE UNBORN CHANGE AGENTS.

I will throw more light on some thematic areas

ON INNOVATION
The chairperson, I believe the time has come for the Regents-Ghana Students’ Parliament to boast of its buses, more seating on campus, equipment for our sports teams, lights on campus, and working computers.
I intend to work with my co-executives in instituting an “Alumni’s Day” where both the alumni and current students of the institution, assemblyman as well as political leaders will raise funds to sponsor the purchase of these items.

ON ACCOUNTABILITY
The chairperson, fellow-citizens, I intend to persuade the Speaker of Parliament to put in place an effective and working Internal Audit Committee within the shortest possible time of assuming office.
I would make sure the executive committee is given all the necessary support and freedom to work without fear or favour. This will ensure that executives and governing bodies are held accountable for students’ money.

FINAL WORDS
The chairperson, fellow citizens, ladies and gentlemen, I have resolved to put myself up for this role, it is an arduous task that scares me, However, I am comforted by your endearing support, and prayers and I hope that the student body chooses me.
I am driven by the desire to bring a new spirit and dynamism which is based on grassroots organization and not empty RHETORICS.
I am humbly counting on you and other teeming delegates to rally behind me for our success.
