Spotify’s Fresh Finds program, known for championing emerging talent from across the African continent, has named Ghanaian Alt-pop artist Anabel Rose as one of its cover artists for June. The announcement marks another significant milestone for the rising star as she continues to carve a space for her unique sound in the alternative music scene.
With a sound that defies convention, Anabel Rose has been on a steady ascent since her breakout 2023 debut single “Love Me Or Die.” Her distinctive approach to music and storytelling has since delivered fan-favourite “DND” and her critically-acclaimed debut project “Something About A Rose” in 2024. Her artistry has not gone unnoticed, earning her nominations at the 2024 3 Music Awards and coverage on leading African entertainment platforms.
Her most recent release, “How I Want It,” is a sultry, mid-tempo alt-R&B track brimming with bold desire and vocal finesse. A sonic evolution from the emotional vulnerability of her earlier work, the track showcases her artistic growth and earned her the coveted Spotify Fresh Finds cover for June.
