Apple Music today announced the latest musician to be featured in its Up Next artist development program in Ghana is rapper, Beeztrap KOTM.
“As the focus Artist in Ghana, this represents a pivotal moment in my musical journey,” he tells Apple Music. “It’s about hard work and perseverance. I’m thrilled to be able to share my music with the world and connect with Apple Music listeners on a deeper level.”
Born and raised in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, Beeztrap KOTM discovered his love for music at a young age and has spent countless hours refining his talent since. Today, he stands as one of Ghana’s premiere underground rappers, developing a unique style that blends elements of reggae and dancehall with Afrobeats and Asakaa, illustrated expertly on his debut album Different Type Of Gangster (2023).
As his star continues to rise, Beeztrap KOTM is looking to deliver a rich musical experience to listeners with thought-provoking releases. With latest single “Yesu” (2024), available to stream on Apple Music, does just this, reinforcing his distinctive sound, lyrical prowess and marked enthusiasm as a Ghanaian artist who has established himself as a major player.
