Burna Boy Wins Best International Act Bet 2021

Nigeria’s Burna Boy has been crowned the winner of the Best International Act at the 2021 BET Awards.

Winning the same category in 2019 and 2020, the Grammy Award-winning performer was announced the winner of the category at Sunday’s night ceremony making it the 3rd in a row. The Best international act category included Aya Nakamura (France), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Emicida (Brazil), Headie One (Uk), Wizkid (Nigeria), Young T & Bugsey (Uk), and Youssoupha (France).

On records, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy, is a Nigerian Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter, rapper, and dancer. He is one of the biggest and most successful African artists. He rose to prominence in 2012 after releasing “Like to Party”, the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E.

Other Nigerian acts who have won the BET Awards in its 19 years of recognizing great Black music talents are Tiwa Savage, Davido, Wizkid, D’banj, and 2Baba.
