Ghana’s rising star, Black Sherif, known as Mohammed Ismail Sheriff, has secured his second BET nomination.
Black Sherif is among ten talented rappers contending for this prestigious award, with three of his fellow nominees hailing from Africa—Aka and K.O from South Africa and Sampa The Great from Zimbabwe.
The remaining nominees include Gazo (France), Central Cee (UK), J Hus (UK), Major Rd (Brazil), Ninho (France), and Tasha & Tracie (Brazil).
The award show is scheduled to be recorded in Atlanta on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Black Sherif received his first BET nomination in the ‘Best International Flow’ category last year but narrowly missed out on the award, which went to Benjamin Epps.
At the 2022 edition of the prestigious awards scheme, he was nominated alongside Benjamin Epps (France), Central Cee (UK), Blxckie (South Africa), Haviah Mighty (Canada), Knucks (UK), Le Juiice (France), Nadia Nakai (Zimbabwe), and Tasha & Tracie (Brazil).
BET has promised a telecast that will pay tribute to 50 years of hip-hop, featuring unforgettable moments and performances.
