Nigerian rap sensation Blaqbonez has released his brand-new single “Everlasting Taker” and officially announced his highly anticipated fourth studio album, No Excuses, slated for release soon.
“Everlasting Taker” is a bold rap anthem that blends introspective lyricism with irresistible melodies, capturing the fearless artistry and genre-fluid style that has defined Blaqbonez’s rise. The track underscores his versatility as both a razor-sharp lyricist and a melodic craftsman, reaffirming his status as one of Africa’s most dynamic voices.
Earlier this year, Blaqbonez immersed himself in London’s vibrant creative and cultural scene—collaborating in studio sessions with LEOSTAYTRILL and JAE5, attending London Fashion Week, performing as a special guest at Black Sherif’s sold-out Shepherd’s Bush Empire show, and even spending time pitchside at a Chelsea FC game.
Born Akumefule Chukwuemeka George in Lagos, Blaqbonez holds a degree in Computer Engineering but chose to carve his own lane in music—defying both convention and family expectations. With a style that effortlessly merges Afrobeats, Hip-Hop, Drill, R&B, and Alté, he has become one of Africa’s most versatile exports. Known for his larger-than-life personality and unfiltered opinions—including his outspoken rejection of societal norms—Blaq remains unapologetically himself, both in music and beyond.
His previous album, Emeka Must Shine, won the 2023 Headies Award for Best Rap Album, fueled by viral singles like “LIKE ICE SPICE” and “NO SLEEP $$$” featuring Young Jonn. Over the years, Blaqbonez has collaborated with an impressive roster of global stars, including Ludacris, Amaarae, Victony, Ayra Starr, CKay, Yungs Teflon, JAE5, and Black Sherif.
Now entering what he calls his “Super Saiyan era”, Blaqbonez is ready to redefine boundaries with No Excuses—a project that promises both introspective moments and explosive anthems, cementing his role as a culture-shifting force in African music. Singles already teasing the project include “W for Wetego” featuring Young Jonn and Phyno, “Follow Her” with Kizz Daniel, and “Go Crazy.”
