A few months after captivating audiences with his heartbreak anthem, “Nothing Lasts Forever,” Ghanaian artist Camidoh is back with an exciting remix of the song. This new version features a stellar lineup of talents, including King Paluta, Kelvyn Boy, Medikal, Lyrical Joe, and Beeztrap KOTM.
The remix elevates Camidoh’s original energy, with each featured artist adding their unique style and delivery to create a refreshing feel that resonates with listeners. The song, themed around heartbreak and disappointment, reflects an unpleasant personal experience Camidoh faced about a year ago.
In his own words, Camidoh explains that the song addresses the ups and downs of love, offering a poignant reminder to apply logic when navigating emotional pain. “I wouldn’t say much but losing a partner I loved very much to a few arguments or misunderstandings here and there hurts so bad,” he shares, emphasizing that the incident was not related to infidelity.
Camidoh candidly recounts his journey through heartbreak, revealing that he experienced complete emotional breakdown and depression, necessitating therapy sessions. “I made a lot of lifelong plans with this person,” he adds, highlighting the depth of his feelings.
Since rising to prominence in 2018 after signing with Grind Don’t Stop Records, Camidoh has continued to achieve greater feats. His hit song “Sugarcane” and its remix earned him global recognition, winning the Afrobeats Song of the Year award at the 2023 Ghana Music Awards and securing a nomination for Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act at the 2023 Black Entertainment Television Awards, where he also performed at various sessions.
