Accra-born singer, songwriter, and performer Cina Soul has revealed a fresh perspective on music creation, leading to an exciting wave of releases in recent years. Known for her soulful melodies and captivating lyrics, Cina Soul shared insights into her creative evolution during a recent interview on Y107.9FM’s Myd Morning Radio Show (MMRS) with Rev Erskine.

In her early years in the music industry, Cina Soul often found herself overthinking every detail of a song, resulting in a selective release strategy. Reflecting on her approach, she said, “Over the years, it was either an EP or just one song. I was always searching for that one perfect song, which took so long because I pondered and overthought it.”

However, 2024 marks a turning point for the artist. Inspired by male musicians who frequently release music without stressing over commercial success, Cina Soul adopted a new mindset. “This year, I decided to keep creating and release a lot of songs, whether they hit or not. I realized that’s what most male musicians do, and they don’t care if it’s big or not,” she explained.

This shift has already resulted in standout collaborations, including “Too Bad” with Sarkodie and O’Kenneth, and “Suloli” with Olivetheboy. Fans have also celebrated tracks from her acclaimed EPs For Times We Lost and Ga Mashi, featuring hits like “Spattention”, “Omg”, “Jamestown”, “Falling”, and “Feelings”.

Cina Soul’s approach not only reflects her growth and versatility but also promises a future rich with musical exploration. Her dedication to creativity and willingness to take risks continues to solidify her position as one of Ghana’s most vibrant musical talents.

A finalist in the 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Icons competition, Christie Quincyna Quarcoopome, professionally known as Cina Soul, has captured hearts with her unique sound and storytelling. With this renewed focus, fans can look forward to more music that blends authenticity and artistry, reaffirming Cina Soul’s impact on the Ghanaian music scene and beyond
