RooM 8 a Ghanaian collective released their debut single “Shmoke” on the 22nd of September 2023, Friday. The single was released under the collective’s indie music label Greenhauz Records.
The groovily composed, Latino-inspired trap-fusion track by the Ghanaian collective, from Greenhauz Records, features Tikki Waja; the bar-heavy MC based in Spintex, REMY DAVID; an Afro-rap Fusion – chemist from the heart of Accra, and Jayme Ouch; multitalented creative icon with a genre-bending sound.
The song is an extension of the group’s identity and how they represent the Gen Z angst and rebellious counterculture attitude. “Shmoke, shmoke, shmoke”, Keli’s eerie background vocals echo, as Supreme (executive producer) glides throughout the chorus of RooM8’s sophomore single:
