Edilberto Rodriguez better known as Giga Beat has released his second studio album, “Reggae, Reggaeton Mix. Vol. 1.” A compilation album of Giga Beat’s best reggae, reggaeton, and afrobeat tracks throughout the years.
This album includes Giga Beat’s Top 40 charting single, “Así (Remix)” and the hit single “Soco.” These tracks helped the Dominican producer establish his name in the music scene as a versatile producer who can create tracks that appeal to Spanish and African audiences.
In his long journey as a music producer, Giga Beat has worked with different kinds of artists and musicians since 2008, when he first started producing tracks. Still, it wasn’t until the year 2020, during the pandemic, that he had the opportunity to show the world his talent with the project “MiESENCIA The Mixtape” and then in 2021 with his first studio album, “ENERGYSOUND.” Both of these projects pave the way for him to make long-lasting connections with talented artists and musicians around the globe.
One of those connections is the Grammy Award-winning guitarist from Ghana, Joshua Monszi, who makes two incredible contributions to this new album. The first one is on “Hold On (Giga Beat Remix)” alongside the duet from New York, Breakout The Crazy, and the other one is on “Midsummer Dream (Giga Beat Remix)” alongside the R&B singer also from New York, Nyasia Chane’l, who is also a top contributor to this album with two more appearances in “Sticky Wicked (Giga Beat Remix)” and the bonus track “Soco (Remix).”
For Giga Beat, this project represents maturity, growth, and grind, not just because of all that he has learned since his comeback in the year 2020 but also because of his willingness to help other artists grow. Even though Giga Beat’s ultimate goal is to be able to work with established artists in the music world, he knows the importance of helping upcoming artists get to the big stage and get recognized across the globe.
“Reggae, Reggaeton Mix Vol. 1” is an album full of beautiful melodies and great rhythm. The album has eleven songs, most of which have a romantic vibe. The album also includes five instrumentals and three bonus tracks, for a total of nineteen tracks that offer a unique blend of mesmerizing style and a distinctive touch made possible by the artists’ mix of cultures and backgrounds in this project.
