Emerging North London singer-songwriter Hanr unveils her latest single, “One Time,” a soul-stirring exploration of love, vulnerability, and resilience. Born Hannah Tenent in Barnet in 2006, Hanr continues to captivate audiences with her heartfelt lyrics and unique sound that bridges genres and cultures.
“One Time” is a poetic celebration of youthful love, capturing the profound emotional complexities of a romantic relationship. Written by Hanr, the lyrics eloquently portray a world where love becomes a sanctuary, pulling the speaker away from life’s distractions. Hanr’s journey into music began at the age of four, performing alongside her godmother, the legendary Madeline Bell. By twelve, she joined the prestigious Capital Arts Children’s Choir, touring Europe and contributing to the soundtrack of the film Assassin’s Creed.
An accomplished musician, Hanr achieved Grade 8 distinction in her musical exams and continued her education at BTE College before pursuing a degree in Musical Writing, Performance, and Production at university.
As a mixed-race artist of African and English heritage, Hanr’s music is a rich tapestry of influences, blending Afrobeats, Amapiano, jazz, pop, R&B, and more. Her dynamic versatility shines through in her previous releases, including “Missing You,” “Too Young for This,” “Circles,” and her Afrobeats debut, “Vibe.”
