\Kabusa Oriental Choir has set the music world ablaze with the release of the electrifying Drill version of “Tshwala Bam,” a song initially released by Yuppe, with TiTom, and Burna Boy featuring on the remix. Renowned for their unique and captivating choir versions of popular songs, Kabusa Oriental Choir has once again captivated audiences with their distinctive take on “Tshwala Bam,” infusing it with their signature style and vibrant energy.
Founded by Austin Chinemezu Nwamara, the Choir Director, on the 11th of March 2019, Kabusa Oriental Choir gained widespread recognition with their viral choir cover mashup of Kizz Daniel’s “Yeba” and DJ Spinal’s “Baba,” which propelled them into the limelight. Over the years, the choir has evolved from creating choir covers to crafting original songs, including “The Corona Song,” written by Austin Chinemezu Nwamara to spread information on the Corona Virus during the pandemic in 2020, and “Valentine is Coming,” a song released for Valentine’s Day in February 2020, which garnered global attention and remains their biggest standing hit song.
The choir’s commitment to musical innovation and cultural expression has garnered widespread acclaim, with their song “Valentine is Coming” being featured on BBC 1XTRA RADIO in the United Kingdom during the Valentine week, further solidifying their global presence. As a testament to their artistic prowess, Kabusa Oriental Choir released the album “Liturgy” in August 2020, a testament to their dedication to creating compelling and evocative musical experiences.
