Delving into the inspiration behind “234,” Kemuel shares, “I imagined being drenched, calling her phone non-stop, and not getting any replies. I brought it home, using the Nigerian country code and then thought about going through her window to get to her, hoping to fall into her arms.” This vivid imagery paints a familiar R&B scenario of yearning and longing, further showcasing Kemuel’s ability to evoke emotions through his music.
Destined for global dominance, Kemuel’s musical journey traces back to his upbringing in the southern state of Rivers in Nigeria, where he honed his musical talents at the age of 13 by joining the church choir and mastering the piano, bass guitar, and drums. His passion for the arts led him to pursue studies in Fine Art and Design at the University of Port Harcourt, shaping his multifaceted creative expression.
Kemuel’s debut “Escape (EP)” set the stage for his musical trajectory, and his collaboration with producer Ozedikus on “Bunda” by Spinall and Olamide further solidified his presence in the music industry.
