“Amalanga” is an emotive rap-ballad that follows the success of Kiddo CSA’s street anthem “Saphalaza.” The single intricately intertwines his personal experiences with a touching narrative of love, capturing the essence of communication amidst the hustle and bustle of life. The song’s title, which translates to “days” in English, draws inspiration from a poignant Zulu custom where warriors, during battle, would write heartfelt letters and serenade their beloveds with songs of longing and devotion.

Co-written with the brilliant Baby S.O.N, “Amalanga” weaves a rich tapestry of emotions, with each verse brimming with authenticity and vulnerability. Anzo’s vocals, deeply rooted in Zulu heritage, breathe life into the track, capturing the essence of longing and connection with unparalleled finesse. Anzo, known for his collaborations with esteemed artists such as Sjava and Aubrey Qwana, adds a unique depth to the song, making “Amalanga” a lyrical diary and a silent conversation between partners.

Kiddo CSA’s recent performances at prominent events like Back to the City, Rocking The Daisies, Street Fest, and Cotton Fest have solidified his place in the music industry, and “Amalanga” is set to further elevate his career.

ABOUT KIDDO CSA

Kiddo CSA, born Sipho Ncube, is an exciting rapper coming out of the East of Johannesburg, South Africa. As a diverse artist with lyrical genius and a smooth effortless tone, Kiddo has his finger wrapped around the Hip-Hop / Rap scene. His music often delves into self-awareness and its complexities, showing just how deeply in tune he is with himself as a storyteller and musician in this time-space reality.

The young rapper’s journey in music began when he posted his freestyles on social media, gaining the attention of soon-to-be fans. In this same period, he piqued the interest of DJ PH which led to him being featured on the track ‘Gotta Go’ alongside South African rappers Da L.E.S. and Tumi Tladi. Kiddo CSA also worked with US rapper Mick Jenkins and producer Undfind on the record ‘Stay Down’ in 2020.

Since signing to Warner Music Africa, Kiddo CSA has released two EPs Just Kidd-inn and So Far, So Great both in 2022 and is set to release his third EP Worldwide Eye early 2023. For this upcoming release Kiddo CSA gravitated towards both Afro-inspired and Hip-Hop sounds, exploring his more melodic side in both musical styles. This record was recorded in London with producers Karan Kanchan and Dominant One. Two of the tracks on the EP, ‘Window’ and ‘You’re Mine’ feature London-based singer-songwriter Moniquè Lawz. Upon his return he had several demos which had major potential, making the final track- listing an almost impossible task. The project now boasts 5 exciting tracks which function as the gaze through which Kiddo CSA sees the world. The lead single to the project, “Window has been popular amongst fans and has reached #1 on 5FM’s ‘5 Nights Chart: Hip Hop’.

The future looks bright for the young star as he looks onwards and upwards for what his world domination looks like: “I’m so excited for what the future holds and I just want to make myself and everyone who believes in me and my dreams see the growth.”
