Rising South London artist Lewis Fitzgerald teams up with global Afro-R&B sensation and BRIT Award nominee Libianca on ‘Darling’ out via Relentless Records on June 7th.
With the original track ‘Darling’ on repeat across playlists since its release and racking up 7.3 million global Spotify streams and 6 million views on TikTok already, Lewis teams up with one of the breakout stars of the year, American-Cameroon singer Libianca for this rework. An Afro-beat R&B trailblazer, Libianca has become a global sensation with her confessional storytelling and emotionally charged anthems; perfectly placing her to collaborate with Lewis who also digs deep exploring key topics in his life with stunning vocals and a vulnerability that holds a mirror to the human experience.
Having gained a BRIT Award nomination, topped the UK’s Official Afrobeats Chart for 12 weeks, and become the first Cameroonian artist to break into The UK Top 10 in the Official Singles Chart with hit single ‘People’, Libianca brings her unique style and vocals to the ‘Darling’ remix effectively transforming the track while perfectly blending with the original.
Duetting the track on TikTok recently, Libianca and Lewis have taken the collab from socials to the studio with this single release and will follow with an official music video directed by Fuhad Braimoh.
Libianca says of her discovery of the single, “The track pulled to me it was very touching! Lewis sang soulfully on that record I couldn’t resist”.

‘Darling’ is a significant instalment in Lewis Fitzgerald’s impressive portfolio; which includes collaborations with US rapper Rxseboy, GRM Rated Award nominee Wewantwraiths, and fellow Londoner Zakhar alongside other releases ‘Unlovable’, ‘Clarity’, and ‘Our House’ which have received praise from tastemakers across the board.
Having captured attention from the likes of The Guardian, British GQ, BBC, and a BRIT Award nomination for International Song Of The Year, Libianca secured her status as a bonafide international sensation with break out global hit ‘People’ which racked up 1.8 million creations on TikTok and 290 million views on YouTube and became the fifth biggest Afro-beats track in Spotify’s history. Having supported Alicia Keys touring the US she finished 2023 with the release of her debut EP Walk Awaywhose features included Chloe of Chloe x Halle, Blaqbonez, and Oxlade.
Going from strength to strength, Lewis is fresh from a string of performances including a sold-out headline show at London’s Omera and a set at The Great Escape Festival. He now joins Mckenzey Mackay on his UK/EU tour across the summer.
