British singer-songwriter Lewis Fitzgerald continues his meteoric rise with the release of his latest single, “Teannah,” out today via Relentless Records. Showcasing his soulful vocals over a vibrant Afrobeat-inspired production, “Teannah” is a feel-good, end-of-summer anthem that has already generated buzz online, with teaser clips amassing over 3 million streams.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind the track, Lewis shared, “I wrote this song the day after meeting a girl named Teannah. At the time, I didn’t think anyone could turn my head because I was so focused on my music and personal growth. But everyone has their own ‘Teannah’—that person who shows up when you least expect it.”
The track follows on the success of Lewis’ recent collaboration with Afro-fusion collective NSG on their hit track “TELL YOUR EX (WOI OI)” and its official music video—the first to be filmed at Stormzy’s Soho club, Houseparty. In a seamless continuation, the “Teannah” music video captures Lewis as he prepares to meet her again, featuring stunning scenes across London that document their journey.
“Teannah” adds to an impressive list of recent collaborations for Lewis, including Afro-R&B sensation Libianca on “Darling,” and features on Russ Millions’ latest album alongside Dappy, Akelle, and IQ. Lewis has also teamed up with US rapper Rxseboy, GRM Rated Award nominee Wewantwraiths, and fellow London artist Zakhar. His growing solo catalog includes standout singles like “Unlovable,” “Clarity,” and “Our House.”
