Maffmatix, a versatile artist with roots in Los Angeles and currently based in Bangkok, collaborates with hip-hop legend ILL Bill (Non Phixion) on their latest release, “Grime Time.” The track takes a nostalgic trip back to the classic days of gritty New York City hip-hop, showcasing the raw and authentic style that made ILL Bill a legend.
Maffmatix’s musical journey began in Los Angeles, where he immersed himself in various genres, working with rappers, metal-heads, and bohemian buskers. This diverse exposure expanded his musical palette, allowing him to explore collaborations and styles ranging from hip-hop to electronic music.

After relocating to Bangkok, Maffmatix continued his musical ventures, touring with indie band Rock Shreller and DJing across Southeast Asia. His wide-ranging experiences led him to establish Shrell Records in October 2020, becoming a platform for his monthly music releases.
In the latest collaboration, “Grime Time,” Maffmatix teams up with hip-hop legend ILL Bill, known for his influential role in the iconic group Non Phixion. The track pays homage to the classic NYC grimy hip-hop era, delivering hard-hitting beats and gritty lyricism.
Maffmatix’s musical evolution includes a recent successful collaboration with Bangkok artist Atiya on “Wake Up,” accompanied by an impressive music video. As the founder of Shrell Records, Maffmatix continues to gain momentum in the electronic music community while exploring various collaborations.
Today, Maffmatix takes a nostalgic turn with the release of his first solo album, “Metanoia Seven.” This collection of seven songs reflects a period of transformation for the artist and features contributions from talented collaborators. “Metanoia Seven” invites listeners on a journey into the void, showcasing Maffmatix’s evolving musical style.
