Scottish singer-songwriter Natalie Clark is excited to announce the release of her new single, “Iced Tea.” This track marks a refreshing change of pace for Clark, showcasing her evolution in writing and production style. “Iced Tea” is a dreamy, lush pop track produced by Clark and co-producer Todd Spadafore in Los Angeles, inviting listeners to escape and indulge in a blissful auditory experience.
With “Iced Tea,” Clark aims to transport her audience to a serene summer paradise. She explains, “I wrote the song as summer was approaching, and I wanted to create a dreamy, summery world for people to escape to when they listened to the song. I wanted the listener to feel that soothing, comforting, warm feeling on a summer’s day—laying on a beach or by a pool, sipping cold iced tea. Even if you can’t physically experience that, I wanted the song to still offer that feeling to you! To bring you some sunshine!”
The track features stripped-back acoustic guitar in the verses that build to luscious, layered harmonies and synth-based sonics in the chorus, creating a captivating soundscape that embodies the warmth of summer.
Natalie Clark’s journey from a Scottish school teacher to an emerging music artist took a life-changing turn when she was invited by Sir Richard Branson to sing on stage at a BBC Radio 1 Academy event. This spontaneous moment showcased her powerhouse vocals and propelled her music career, leading her from Scotland to Los Angeles, where she has recently signed a recording contract for her debut album.
Since moving to the U.S., Clark has opened festivals, toured the country, and was recognized as a Mercedes Benz KTLA “Artist to Watch.” She has performed at iconic venues including the Roxy on Sunset and The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, and has opened for the Grammy-winning Indigo Girls. Her music has garnered acclaim from multi-platinum artists such as Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton, and she was honored as a ‘Hot 100 Live Artist’ by Music Connection Magazine. Additionally, her song “Ready to Roll” won BEST ORIGINAL SONG at the Austin Under the Stars Film Festival.
With her debut album on the horizon, Natalie Clark is poised for a breakout year, with her first single from the album, “A Place Called Home,” set to be released this summer on DVG Records.
