Dance and electronic superstars Peggy Gou, Honey Dijon and KAYTRANADA are the next artists to take the stage for Apple Music Live— the live performance series that gives the biggest stars in music a platform to connect with audiences around the world.

The three DJs’ exhilarating sets at a packed warehouse in Brooklyn, New York will be livestreamed on Apple Music, as part of a full 24-hour takeover of exclusive DJ mixes—including those of Apple Music’s dance music authority Tim Sweeney, Brooklyn collective Papi Juice, French techno legend Laurent Garnier and many more. The full performances of the sold-out event will debut Sunday, Dec 31 at 7:00pm PT / 10:00pm ET exclusively on Apple Music and on the Apple TV app. Fans can also stream the Apple Music Live performances anytime on demand on both Apple Music and Apple TV+ after the livestream event, and listen to the sets in Spatial Audio on Apple Music’s DJ Mixes dedicated space.

Kicking off the night, KAYTRANADA shares with Apple Music, “When it’s a New Year’s mix, it’s more of a celebration, you know, for getting through the whole year—whether it was hard or not, you have to celebrate making it through the year. It’s a different approach than other mixes I do. The way I approach the mix tonight is to go toward more of a house direction.”

The party continues with Honey Dijon’s special set. “A New Year’s Eve mix is a fresh start, we’re going into a new chapter. So I try to bring that sense of lightness, freshness, joy, renewal, and fun,” she tells Apple Music. “I just try to really bring my culture and my sound. I stand on so many incredible shoulders of black queer people who have created house music, so I always like to teach, entertain, and bring joy.”

Peggy Gou, who will be closing out the live-streamed festivities says, “I try to always go to my sets or my shows half an hour before to get the vibe and see how other DJs are playing, and I’m very sensitive to the crowd’s energy and I try to read that as much as I can.” On what to expect next year, she simply adds: “I don’t really like to talk about what to expect or what not to expect, so my fans should expect the unexpected in 2024.”

Peggy Gou had a massive year on Apple Music in 2023 thanks to the release of “(It Goes Like) Nanana,” which reached the Daily Top 100 in more than 75 countries worldwide, including 16 where it reached No. 1 and 44 where it reached the top 10.

“(It Goes Like) Nanana” became Peggy Gou’s first song to reach the Global Daily Top 100, reaching No. 70. The success of the single prompted listeners to return to her previous releases. Shortly after the release of “(It Goes Like) Nanana,” streams for her DJ Mix Boiler Room: Peggy Gou, Streaming From Isolation nearly tripled. All told, Peggy Gou’s streams have increased nearly sevenfold (+580%) in the past year on Apple Music worldwide, and her music has reached Apple Music’s Daily Top 100 in more than 80 countries worldwide.

Honey Dijon’s Pride 2023 DJ Mix soared to No. 1 on the house albums chart in 66 countries worldwide. Her 2022 album Black Girl Magic reached the dance chart in 99 countries, including nine where it topped the chart. Last year she produced “ALIEN SUPERSTAR” and “COZY” for Beyoncé’s seventh studio album Renaissance. The songs reached Nos. 2 and 5 on the Global Daily Top 100, respectively, and reached the Apple Music’s Daily Top 100 in more than 140 countries.

KAYTRANADA is one of the most popular dance artists on Apple Music worldwide, with his releases consistently soaring to the top of the dance charts in countries across the globe. His 2019 album BUBBA topped the Electronic albums chart in 146 countries worldwide, and reached the top 10 of the all-genre albums chart in more than 50.
KAYTRANADA has seen more than 30 songs reach the Apple Music’s Daily Top 100 in countries across the globe. In the past two years, his streams have grown 70% on Apple Music worldwide.

The second season of Apple Music Live kicked off this past May with a special performance by Ed Sheeran, which was followed by Burna Boy’s historic London Stadium show from earlier this summer and Dominic Fike gave an electrifying show in Atlanta. Brent Faiyaz serenaded a packed house in London, Peso Pluma brought his música mexicana sound to Anaheim complete with his full live band, and most recently SZA cemented her icon status with an unforgettable experience.
