Born out of the desire to unite all aspects of the creative sector, find solutions to the issues facing our industry, and harness the creativity in the country for global amplification, Richie Mensah, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lynx Entertainment, has launched a trailblazing project, “Live the Music.”
Held at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, Accra, on Friday night, the 9th of August, the event was marked by the presence of Ghanaian creative arts royalty from all sectors of the industry (music, film, photography, fashion, dance, media, etc.).
Speaking at the event, Richie described “Live the Music” as a movement of collaboration and strategic partnerships to foster growth and amplification of a holistic industry. The event highlighted the rollout of initiatives and events such as Women in Music (a program to empower women within the industry), Legacy Album (the re-imagination of a classic album by a legendary artist), Lynx Cubs (to unearth young talents and nurture creativity in high schools), Music Museum, High School Album, and Underground EP (curating collaborations between emerging creatives and established ones), among other activities that will be rolling out soon.
While acknowledging collaborators and partners such as Boomplay Music, Bills, Tieme Music, Tigon Creative Studios High Skul Clique, Tieme Music, 3Music, Media General, and others, Richie Mensah has called on all stakeholders and members of the creative industry to come on board and push this creative initiative.
