Over 200,000 fans packed Accra’s Black Star Square to capacity on Saturday, October 18, 2025, for Shatta Wale’s monumental birthday concert, “Shatta Fest 2025”. The free concert—one of the largest music gatherings in Ghana’s history—drew supporters from across the country, many dressed in white to honor the self-acclaimed Dancehall King on his special day.
Though the show was slated to begin at 4:00 p.m., fans began arriving as early as midday. By sunset, the Square and surrounding streets had transformed into a sea of excitement, echoing with chants of “Shatta Movement for life!”
The star-studded lineup featured some of Ghana’s biggest names, including Sarkodie, Samini, Wendy Shay, Medikal, Kelvynboy, Amerado, DarkoVibes, Tinny, JZyNo, Kwame Yogot, and DopeNation, among several others. Each act delivered explosive performances that kept the atmosphere charged with energy well into the morning, with the event wrapping up around 7:05 a.m. on Sunday.
In one of the concert’s most touching moments, Shatta Wale presented rapper Tinny with a special citation and heartfelt tribute, thanking him for his early support. He also mediated a public reconciliation between Nigerian influencers Peller and Big Jiggy, inviting them on stage to shake hands and make peace.
Powered by MoMo Fest (Mobile Money Ghana Limited) with support from Shaxi and Charterhouse, Shatta Fest 2025 has already earned glowing praise from music lovers, critics, and creative industry figures who lauded Shatta Wale’s star power, crowd-pulling ability, and unifying spirit.
