Released via Simi’s independent label, Studio Brat, “Borrow Me Your Baby” is a vibrant Afrobeats gem that combines harmonies, delicate guitar shapes, and reverb-soaked synths over a classic Afrobeats groove. Simi, known for her soulful vocals, expressed her excitement about collaborating with Falz, stating, “It’s probably unacceptable to have such great music chemistry with someone and not continue to tap into it.”

Simi and Falz have both enjoyed success with previous singles. Simi’s collaborations with Tiwa Savage on “Men Are Crazy” and “All I Want” were met with critical acclaim, further establishing her as an Afro-pop sensation. Falz’s witty and socially conscious lyrics have earned him a dedicated fanbase and international recognition.
