Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall star Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy, has been named Artiste of the Year at the 2024 3Music Awards. The prestigious event took place at the Palms Convention Centre in Accra on September 28, 2024, celebrating the best of Ghanaian music and artistry.

Stonebwoy’s victory in the top category came after fierce competition from industry heavyweights, including King Promise, Sarkodie, Black Sherif, and Nacee. In addition to the coveted Artiste of the Year award, Stonebwoy also took home the Reggae/Dancehall Act of the Year title, solidifying his reign as a leading figure in the genre.

The night was filled with outstanding performances and multiple winners. Black Sherif emerged as another major success story, winning Hiplife/Hip Hop Act of the Year and Performer of the Year. Rising star Olivetheboy also had a standout night, securing awards for EP of the Year and Breakthrough Act of the Year, marking him as one to watch in the coming years.

In the individual song categories, King Promise’s viral hit ‘Terminator’ was honoured as the Viral Song of the Year, while Sarkodie’s track ‘Otan’ took home the HipHop Song of the Year title. Nacee’s inspiring gospel song ‘Aseda’ was celebrated as the Gospel Song of the Year, and Tyla’s track ‘Water’ won the African Song of the Year.

The 2024 3Music Awards once again highlighted the vibrant and diverse musical landscape of Ghana, showcasing the immense talent and creativity within the industry. It was a night to remember, celebrating both established stars and promising new voices.
