Nigerian recording artist, singer-songwriter, sound engineer, and record producer, Austin “Tay” Iornongu Iwar, has just released his highly anticipated new song titled “Feels.” This vibrant track showcases an upbeat afro-amapiano fusion sound that is guaranteed to get people on their feet and dancing.

Born on June 9, 1997, Tay Iwar began his musical journey at the young age of fourteen in Lagos and Abuja. He co-created the Bantu Collective in 2013 alongside his elder brother, Suté, which marked the beginning of his rise in the music industry. Since the release of his EP, Tay Iwar has consistently dropped a myriad of singles, captivating audiences with his unique sound. In April 2017, he treated fans to the free compilation LP, “Renascentia,” available on his SoundCloud page. The title loosely translates to a rebirth from the post-Christ cultural movement in Seleucia. Notably, Tay had the honor of opening for the legendary soul singer Asa during her 2017 “Encore” Tour in Lagos, Nigeria, showcasing his immense talent and earning him well-deserved recognition.

Throughout his career, Tay Iwar has made significant contributions to the music industry, producing and/or featuring on tracks for renowned artists such as Juls, M.I Abaga, Lady Donli, Odunsi (The Engine), Tomi Thomas, Santi, Preye, Leriq, Boogie, Suté, Jessica Bongos, Sarz, Ovid, and Eve Urrah. He describes his style of music as Afro-fusion or Neo Afro-pop, combining elements from classic R&B to Afrobeats.

After years of honing his craft and perfecting his sound, Tay Iwar is now ready to unveil his highly anticipated debut album, “GEMINI.” The album, which is set to be released on March 29th, 2019, with Soulection, promises to be a testament to his growth as an artist and a reflection of his artistic vision.

“Feels” serves as a spirited introduction to Tay Iwar’s musical journey, blending afro-amapiano influences with his unique style to create an infectious dance anthem. This release is a testament to Tay’s ability to captivate audiences with his groovy melodies and irresistible beats.
