Nigerian afrobeats Songstress Tems continues to make waves in the music industry with her latest release, “Me & U.”
While she hasn’t dropped an album yet, she’s already achieved remarkable milestones in her career, including an appearance on a #1 hit, an Oscar nomination, and a performance at the NBA All-Star Game halftime show.
“Me & U” is Tems’ latest offering, and it’s a standout track. Unlike the Cassie hit of the same name, Tems’ version is a percussive and hypnotic masterpiece that effortlessly blends excitement and contemplation. According to Tems, the song delves into themes of self-discovery, establishing a genuine connection with the Creator, and gaining a true understanding of oneself.
What makes this release even more impressive is that Tems played a hands-on role in its creation. She co-produced the track alongside the talented Ghanaian DJ, GuiltyBeatz. Furthermore, Tems showcased her directorial skills by crafting a visually stunning music video, filmed in the picturesque location of Malta.
