Nigerian-born artist Wisdom Kumah, professionally known as ThyGifted, has set the music scene ablaze with the release of his latest afrobeats single, “Southy Girls.”
Hailing from Edo State, Nigeria, ThyGifted’s musical journey began at the age of 10, drawing inspiration from esteemed artists such as Fela, 2 Face, P-Square, Duncan Mighty, and Lil Wayne. His passion for music blossomed into adulthood, leading to the creation of his first official song, “Esan Azonto,” in 2012, followed by the well-received single “Commando” in 2020.
“Southy Girls” marks ThyGifted’s triumphant return in 2024, offering a brand new club-shaking banger inspired by South African girls, highlighting their beauty, vibrant characteristics, and personality. The single is a fusion of amapiano and afrobeat, complementing the current trendy sound on the streets, showcasing ThyGifted’s versatile blend of afrobeats, rap, and amapiano.
