Zanzibar to Host the 2025 Trace Awards, Celebrating Africa’s Finest Music Talents

On February 26, 2025, Zanzibar will transform into the beating heart of African music as it hosts the highly anticipated Trace Awards 2025. This prestigious event will bring together some of the biggest names in African and global music for an unforgettable night of performances and recognition.

Music lovers can expect electrifying performances from icons such as Rema, Diamond Platnumz, Yemi Alade, Fally Ipupa, Joshua Baraka, and Titom & Yuppe, alongside a lineup of many other celebrated artists. With tickets now available on the Senjaro app, fans have the chance to witness history in the making.

A Celebration of Musical Diversity

The Trace Awards 2025 will showcase a spectacular array of musical genres, spanning Afrobeats, Dancehall, Hip-Hop, Amapiano, Afro-Pop, Rumba, Soukous, Gospel, and many more. More than 30 countries across Africa, South America, the Caribbean, the Indian Ocean, and Europe will be represented, as artists compete across 24 award categories.

Tanzania’s music scene will shine with performances from Diamond Platnumz, Alikiba, Zuchu, Marioo, Nandy, Abigail Chams, and Young Lunya, while Ivory Coast will be represented by Didi B, Josey, Tamsir, KS Bloom, Team Paiya, and HIMRA. The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) will be well represented by Fally Ipupa, Innoss’B, and Gaz Mawete, with Nigeria bringing star power from King Promise, Qing Madi, producer P Priime, Rema, and Yemi Alade.

Other exciting acts include Bien (Kenya), Wally Seck (Senegal), Makhadzi (South Africa), and Titom & Yuppe (South Africa). The international lineup also features Sabrina (Cameroon), DJ Moh Green (Algeria), Chelsea Dinorath (Angola), Joé Dwet Filé (France/Haiti), Nesly (Martinique/French Guiana), Barth (Réunion Island), Kenny Haiti (Haiti), and Joshua Baraka (Uganda).
