Rising Ghanaian musician Ehu has released her debut 4-track EP, “Time”, a deeply personal project that intertwines intimacy, self-reflection, and the bittersweet journey of release. Out now on all streaming platforms, “Time” marks a defining moment for an artist whose music is rooted in heritage while pushing forward Ghana’s alté and Afro-R&B sound.
A pharmacist by profession and a musician at heart, Ehu has spent the last six years honing her craft. Her stage name, chosen in honor of her grandmother, symbolizes legacy, resilience, and spiritual depth—values that echo throughout the EP. Sung in a blend of Ga and English, “Time” captures the emotional spectrum of human connection through Ehu’s warm, soulful delivery and evocative storytelling.
The project opens with “Conversations”, a tender ode to the spark of new love, followed by “Min”—a track that intensifies the theme of devotion with the Ga phrase meaning “be mine.” The remix of “Min” introduces Ghanaian rapper NINE99, who adds a fresh response to the declaration, enriching the dialogue within the music. Across the four songs, Ehu seamlessly blends Afrobeat rhythms with smooth R&B textures, creating a soundscape that is both modern and deeply authentic.
With “Time”, Ehu affirms her place as one of Ghana’s emerging voices, bringing honesty, vulnerability, and cultural pride to every note. Her music resonates as more than just songs—it is a healing experience, a celebration of legacy, and a testament to the power of personal truth.
