You’ve been building your sound over the past six years. How would you say your journey so far has shaped the Charisma we hear today?

Charisma: Over the past six years, my journey has shaped me from a raw, determined artist into a more refined and evolved creative. My sound has grown, taken new form, and I believe it’s now ready to connect with the world on a deeper level while pushing my creativity to even greater heights.

Your debut EP “Change My Life” dropped in 2023. What personal or artistic changes did that project spark for you?

Charisma: Change My Life was a turning point for me. After a tough setback with a record label, that project was my way of picking myself back up and choosing to continue the journey I’ve always dreamed of. It set me on a new path, one I can’t fully see yet, but I believe it’s leading me to something greater.

You recently released the 2-pack single “Come With Me”. What inspired the decision to put these two songs together?

Charisma: Come With Me is the start of a bigger journey toward my album. I wanted to bring my fans along as I explore love from different sides. ‘Trabaye’ shows the fun and joy that keep love alive, while ‘Give Me Love’ dives into the depths of needing and giving love. Together, they set the tone for what’s to come.

Between “Give Me Love” and “Trabaye”, which one challenged you the most in the studio, and why?

Charisma: Trabaye challenged me the most because I was new to that sound and pushed myself to create something fresh I’d never done before.

You’ve performed at Zama Disco, Revival Concert, and Planting & Plotting. Which of those shows felt like a turning point for your career?

Charisma: Each of those shows was special in its own way, but together they felt like a real turning point. The energy and feedback from the fans showed me how deeply people connect with my music and gave me the confidence to aim for even bigger stages.

Ghana’s music scene is growing globally. How do you see yourself contributing to that bigger conversation?

Charisma: I see myself adding a fresh and inviting sound to Ghana’s growing global music scene. What I bring might feel new, but with time and the right space, I believe it will resonate widely. I’m determined to work hard, reach bigger audiences, and create an era of good music and vibes that people will remember, just like the great moments our scene has already given the world.

How do you define success for yourself at this stage of your career?

Charisma: Right now, I define success as growth every song, every stage, every new listener is a step forward. For me, it’s not just about charts or numbers; it’s about building a legacy that feels timeless, creating music that truly connects with people. Success is knowing that my sound, my story, and my vision are carving out a space no one else can fill and watching that space grow bigger every day.

When people listen to your music, beyond the rhythm, what do you want them to walk away feeling or thinking?

Charisma: When people listen to my music, I want them to walk away with more than just the rhythm. I want them to feel hope, love, joy, and the courage to keep going no matter what. My songs are about real emotions and real journeys, and I want listeners to see themselves in that. If you give me a chance, you’ll realize my music isn’t just something to hear, it’s something to experience, something that can shift your mood, your mindset, even your day. That’s the impact I want to leave behind.”

As an artist intent on longevity, how do you balance making songs for the moment versus creating timeless records?

Charisma: I always try to find that sweet spot. I make songs that capture the vibe of the moment, but I also put in the kind of heart and storytelling that makes them last beyond today. For me, it’s not just about chasing trends; it’s about creating music people can dance to now and still come back to years later and feel the same magic. That balance is what keeps it fun for me and unforgettable for the fans.

What’s next for Charisma? Should fans expect another EP, an album, or more live performances soon?

Charisma: My fans should expect a lot more from me. I’m working on my album, and before it drops, I’ll be releasing a few more singles to lead the way. I’m giving nothing but my very best, so stay tuned for the journey ahead.

Charisma stands as one of Ghana’s most promising voices, an artist defined by resilience, growth, and an unwavering belief in his craft.
