Nobody Like Zaza, the fourth studio album from L.A.X, includes the afrobeats star’s recent hits ‘Lockdown’ and ‘MVP’ is out.
The hotly-awaited Nobody Like Zaza LP is the third project playing on L.A.X’s signature ‘Zaza’ sound — a melting pot of afrobeats, house, and amapiano. Like previous albums Zaza Vibes and No Bad Vibes With Zaza it, this album blends feel-good energy with romantic and self-assured themes, staying true to the vibrant, carefree essence of Zaza.
L.A.X works with a powerhouse lineup of producers, including longtime collaborator Clemzy (who produced his biggest track ‘Sempe’), Omzy (credits: Lojay, Fireboy DML, Mayorkun, Reekado Banks), Rage (credits: Davido, Logos, Ayra Starr), and more. The album also features a host of other Nigerian stars such as Fireboy DML, Niniola, Ajebohustlers, Joeboy, Young Jonn, taves and Bahdboi OmL, all adding their unique flavors to the pot.
Key moments on Nobody Like Zaza include previously heard singles ‘Lockdown’, ‘Loke’ ft. Magicsticks and ‘Let Me Know’, a collaboration with taves and Ayo Maff. Now, fans can hear ‘Halelu’ with Niniola and Dj Rosco, the bright ‘Sunshine’ ft. Joeboy, and the guitar-flecked ‘35th Floor’. ‘Julie’ rounds things off with a soulful touch, reflecting L.A.X’s versatility across the project.
Alongside the album, L.A.X is launching a merch range where fans can personalize T-shirts and digital stickers with ‘Nobody Like [Insert Name]’ – a playful nod to the album’s title and its themes of individuality.
L.A.X is a singer, songwriter, and performer renowned for his signature ‘Zaza Vibes’ sound, a fusion of afrobeats, house, and amapiano. Under his independent label Rasaki Music, L.A.X has released tracks like ‘PEPE’ with Davido, ‘Caro’, and ‘Ginger’ with Grammy-winning star Wizkid, as well as global hits like ‘Sempe’ (380M+ streams) and ‘Go Low’ from his sophomore album, ‘Zaza Vibes’, which has now surpassed a massive 558 million streams.
In 2023, L.A.X released No Bad Vibes, collaborating with Black Sherif, Ayra Starr, and Konshens, embarking on a 25-city European tour and making his runway debut at Paris Fashion Week. With a COLORS show under his belt, L.A.X’s impact on the culture has been recognized by major publications like Vogue, CNN, MTV, GRM Daily, and UPROXX who named No Bad Vibes as one of the 10 Best Albums of 2023.
