Ghanaian-Canadian artist Leno TK unveils his latest single, “Chale”, a song that embodies the joy, connection, and cultural awakening he experienced while visiting Nungua, Ghana for the first time. Conceptualized and filmed in Nungua, “Chale” is more than just music—it’s a celebration of identity, family, and the beauty of Ghanaian culture.
Known for his melodic trap and R&B fusion, Leno TK originally started as a rapper before embracing a sound that resonated more deeply with both himself and his audience. His second album, Trendsetter, was born during the COVID lockdown, when he and his brother, producer KJ (@prodbykj1), focused on crafting music that reflected their growth and artistry.
Though raised in Revelstoke, Canada, a remote mountain town, Leno TK’s Ghanaian heritage runs deep. His father, Nii Tettey Tetteh, founded the Kusun Ensemble, a group blending traditional Ghanaian music with highlife and jazz. Now, Leno TK carries that legacy forward, infusing his own modern sound with cultural roots, bridging the gap between Africa and the diaspora.
